Network Engineer
We are seeking for our esteemed Client a skilled Network Administrator to join their Global IT team. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of their network infrastructure across data centers and regional locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network administration and planning, including experience with Cisco systems. Day-to-day of the role:
- Maintain and ensure the smooth operation of network infrastructure in data centers and other regional locations.
- Continuously develop and expand the existing network infrastructure, including UTMs, firewalls, routers, switches, VPN, and leased lines, with comprehensive documentation.
- Support the development, planning, and implementation of customer-specific projects.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support to colleagues for customer inquiries.
- Manage globally networked communication systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Completed apprenticeship in IT or professional experience in network administration.
- Very good knowledge in network administration and planning for WAN, LAN, WLAN, VPN, routers, switches, firewalls, and UTMs.
- Experience with Cisco network components (Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or comparable qualifications).
- Familiarity with common technologies and manufacturers (e.g., MS Windows Server, MS Hyper-V, HPE servers and switches, VoIP, SBC, DNS, Email Flow, and SSL certificates).
- Good knowledge of German and English.
- Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and confidence.
