Project Engineer

Job description

Our international client is focused on delivering environmental technologies, water and materials recycling, waste management equipment, chemistry and services to their customers and markets. 

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
Develop detailed project plans and schedules for Facilities Projects. Execute capital projects on time, on budget with zero EHS events while maintaining a high level of coordination and communication with stakeholders. Implement plans with internal and external resources within scope and budget. Utilize input from other Engineers developing to coordinate project phases and coordinate with other ongoing projects.

 

What will you be doing? 

• Identify and collaborate with 3rd parties and Engineering to develop full scope of Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Instrument, Automation, Electrical, EHS equipment and labor costs for Capital Construction Projects.
• Identify all applicable State, Federal, Good Practice Consensus codes and ensure designs are compliant. Work with purchasing and engineering to identify best cost vs. value

• Receive and verify/refine Front End Deliverables (Flow Diagrams, Heat and Mass Balances, P&ID’s, Equipment, System and Instrument Data Sheets
• Responsible for field and project engineering, quality control, contract administration and scheduling
• Work with process engineering to provide technical solutions to plant operations including troubleshooting, and project implementation

 

Required Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s level degree is preferred but not required.
•    Minimum of 3 years of experience within the wastewater treatment industry
•    Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio
•    Proven work experience in project engineering
•    Knowledge of process related standards

•    Fluent German speaking and writing, and business fluent English language skills
